Personal Responsibility

What happened to people taking personal responsbility for what they do? My husband stopped by a store for not more than 10 minutes last night on the way to pick up our daughter from dance.

He came out of the store and there was a big dent on the front drivers side of the van. Someone had in that short time ran into it and then taken off. Of course no note or anything.

It is sizeable enough that there is no way they could have not known what they did.

It makes me angry, even if we report it to our insurance it will be the $500 deductible out of our pocket.

I hope today will be a better day.

It was probably kids who were to scared to stay or someone who was drunk and didn't dare stay. No excuse though.

I'm with you on this one Kathie. It's how I felt last fall when 8 days after I bought my new to me Honda some one backed in to me while I was sitting still. When he got out of his vehicle he said "Accidents Happen" very calmly. I stayed fairly calm, but replied, there is a difference between an accident and negligence. The part that really upset me was his lack of responsibility for the "incident", not accident.
