Currently on my design wall are a few of the 4 patch blocks I have been making. I have gradually been these between other projects out of left over binding strips from various Christmas craft show projects. I intend on making a 4 patch lap quilt with cream sashing between each block and using corner stones.
My problem is that I can't decide on what color to make the corner stones so here are a couple of options.
Does the black jump out to much and make it NON Christmas? Is the gold to washed out? Or should I just go with maybe a solid red (not pictured).
I would appreciate your suggestions.

From the pictures, I like the gold best. Very Christmasy if you know what I mean. The black seems a bit overpowering.
Fun project!

I like the gold much better..or a green would be another possibility
I like the black for the strong contrasts
I like the black too! But think red or green would be very nice as well. It's going to be terrific which ever you decide.
I like the contrast of the black.
The black is to much Kathie. I like the gold but not with the white. If you used a cream sashing that would look good. I would go red or green.
I think they both work, each creating a different feeling in the quilt. Personally, I would choose the gold, but, seriously, I would trust your gut and choose the one that speaks loudest to you. It's your quilt, after all ;-)
I like the contrast of the black.
What would gold sashing and cream cornerstones look like?
tough choices on that one, I would lean to the gold. I love working with Christmas fabrics all year. I think I am going to design my own bag next with my holiday fabrics. It is really fun, nearly instant gratification!
I think the black is a bit dark.
