Sunday Stash Report - August 29, 2010

I had a great stash busting week. I used up some very old fall fabric as the backing for runners, used fabrics for borders and bindings for runners and continued to cut out and kit up a sports quilt that will be a Christmas present.

Most importantly I stayed out of JoAnns Fabrics and out of the quilt shop. I plan to go this week for a couple of things I need but nice to be able to stay away for a week anyway.

Current stats are:

Fabric used this week: 7 yards
Fabric used YTD: 177 yards
Fabric purchased this week: A BIG FAT ZERO
Fabric purchased year to date: 110.25

NET fabric stash busted in 2010: 66.75

Your numbers are great . . . I have got to buckle down so my numbers can look a bit like yours! Great job!

What a good year you're having! Not much more to go to get to 100!

Great control -- I DID go to our LQS, but they were so busy, I put up my purse, rolled up my sleeves and helped them cut fabric -- took care of my fabric fix and did not buy a thing (this week that is).

Staying out of quilt shop is probably the best thing in the stash busting world. there's just too many temptations in them.

Yeah Kathie! You did great this week....even with the 40% coupon from Joann's that expired on 8/28.....you stayed away! Or did you take advantage of it earlier than me. Teehee! I realized it was to expire and purchased a spool of natural STAR thread. Love that thread and the 40% coupons!
