Design Wall Monday - August 30, 2010
I just fused the poinsettias on these runners so they are still tacked to my design wall. Once these are quilted I put a few topaz crystals in the center of each flower and they come out looking real cute.
Yesterday I started piecing a backing for another Christmas quilt out of 10 1/2 squares. I had some already cut out but started going through my stacks of Christmas fabric to see what was old that I no longer wanted, what I didn't have much left of etc. and all that is going to be part of this backing.
I hope to get that pieced over the next couple of days between other things. Have a couple of customer quilts to work on, a workshop (Convergent quilts), a guild meeting and a doctors appointment all this week so I am sure it will zoom by.

aaccckkk- Christmas!!! I'm not ready!!! j/k
The runners look lovely-good for you getting a jump on the season.
Runners are great; love the neutral fabrics in the center with applique on each end. I tend to over do it on runners and then don't want to cover them up with table decorations.
I found a few more items that will have runners made for them for christmas. I can't wait to see faces when they open presents this year. Love your pontsettias!
Good job getting a jump on Christmas! I haven't even thought about it, lol.
The crystals will be a perfect touch. How beautiful.
Yikes, Christmas. I'm not ready to think about that yet. It's still too hot out. Problem is, by the time it gets cold, there's hardly enough time left. Good for you for being ahead of "the game".
Wow! Christmas is not even a thought in my mind yet and there you have 2 done. The runner looks great and someone will be very happy with it.
So Kathie how many items do you have done for the November Craft Show? Good thing you are on top of the Holiday Season ahead as many I see aren't even thinking about it yet....including me! Will your crystals be silver, gold, burgundy....?
Oh no, you said the "C" word! I'm not ready either. Love your runners, so simple and classy.
Very classy looking!
