Design Wall Monday - September 27, 2010

I have not done any sewing in the last few days so no new project started and these two runners are still on the design wall. Guess I did finish the borders since I showed the picture last so it is slightly different.

No sewing again yesterday, we spent the major of the day at the mall trying to find a homecoming dress (along with every other teenager in the State of Maryland). Several hours and stores later we did have success and I have to admit she look really pretty in her new dress and heels.

I picked up my quilting entries from the county fair last night. It is fun to get ribbons.

Three ribbons! How exciting. Is that RED? Give us a show of the stack of items you've been working on for your craft shows. I'm sure she'll be the "Bell of the Ball". What happy times for her right now.

great job on the ribbons and I do love your runners. I am glad the formal dress shopping is over in our house, the stress of it every year really got to me (and the budget discussion and the why can't you borrow a dress as we have 2-3 formals a year!!!) My daughter was great as a 9-10 grade we borrowed and went to goodwill. I did buy a formal senior prom. Hope you have a nice relaxing day !!

Congratulations on the ribbons, that is so great.

The 6th grader at our house is a few years out from needing formals, but we did blue jean and long sleeve shirt shopping on Friday. This was our first foray into the world of junior's. Let's just say it's a big shift from the girls department! Can't wait till we have to deal with formals, so not ready for that!

I just love you blog and your quilts. I also am so impressed how you are using up your stash. That is what I want to do. I've read through 2010 and 2009 blogs. Found Quilter's Cache, what a site. Thanks for mentioning it.
I'd really like to know the name of the table runner pattern that looks like a chain.

thanks
Suzanne
