UFO #10

I gradually put the borders on my UFO #10 quilt as part of the UFO challenge over the last couple of days. I don't think I probably would have picked the stripe for this normally but was trying to use something in my stash.

I know I have had these blocks close to 10 years from an internet swap. Nice to have the top done.

Now all I need to do is get the time to get it quilted and bound by the end of the month and THIS IS A SHORT MONTH!!!

My light bulb has finally turned on thanks to your UFO #10. Now I have a plan to use up stash, just make blocks and put them together with a neutral background. I CAN do this, up until this morning, I've just been overwhelmed by my stash. It's mostly focus fabric, nothing goes together. My stash is really weird, IMHO. It's all pieces I have bought on sale at a really good price, or something I just loved and couldn't live without, but didn't buy anything to go with it. Not much is from a quilt store either, but it's not sleezy fabric either. I love you blog, I go to it every day.

Those are some huge blocks. The neutral has pulled them together. I think the stripe works very well. Some very tall person will love that it fits from chin to toe! My UFO #10 happens start to finish tomorrow...I'm closing the door to my sewing room...Sandi
