I had some time yesterday afternoon to sew so thought I would start on UFO #10 (six goose in the pond swap blocks). I couldn't remember the formula for putting them on point so found that on Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville site.
Had just enough fabric to cut the alternating blocks and the setting squares. Later in the evening I did get this part of it sewn together. Now looking through my stash to find fabrics for borders. I think I will put a really thin rust border and then a wider striped border if the fabrics I found still look ok in daylight.
Yesterday I heard Sammy growling under his breath in the quilt room and turned around to see that he had company through the sliding glass door. They sat and stared at each other for a good 20 minutes.
The visiting cat had leopard spot markings, very pretty.
Off to get a customer quilt done today if I can get a hurting shoulder blade to cooperate. Don't know what is with all these aches and pains lately. Sure hope it is just the weather and things will improve as the weather warms.

Good for you to make progress on your #10 UFO! My blocks are still in the the bag!
Wow - those blocks are wonderful. They look so intricate!
Very pretty blocks. Oh do I know about the shoulder blade tenderness! Hope it heals quickly!
This is looking really nice. Hope the shoulder lets you keep quilting.
Nice blocks and I love the cat picture.
Kathie the blocks are really nice, love the pattern. You are going good in your UFOs. Hope your shoulder is feeling better.
The goose in the pond blocks are so cute. Rust will make a nice border on the top.
Great variety of colors on your blocks. Very nice.
Blocks are fun, but I think I am a little envious of grass!
We have a "flock" of cats that visit our place. They torment the dogs and sometimes push around our cat. That's when I let the dogs out to chase them off.
Good progress on a UFO. Great blocks. Looking forward to seeing your border selections for these.
Isn't Bonnie so helpful with all her hints pages? Glad you got working on these, and love your idea for borders.
Let's hope the visiting cat has done all the visiting before it's just the screen that separates the two. Doesn't sound like Sammy is too thrilled with his company. You'll be done with your #10 faster than I'll probably even be to get started! I love working with stripes.
