Design Wall Monday – this is the only thing on my design wall right now. This block was from an appliqué class I took at the fiber arts conference I went to the beginning of April. I finally got it finished (appliqué is not my thing and it took me forever). Now I need to decide what to do with it.
I would like to make it the center of a lap quilt for either charity or craft show. I think this one might have to sit here awhile for an inspiration to strike.
Another year rolls around and its my daughters birthday again. I am so blessed that I have a happy, healthy teenager. We drive each other nuts many times but that is just part of the whole growing up thing and we will both survive it. I am having such a hard time realizing that in a couple of years she will be off to college. Seems like just yesterday she was that little kid getting on the school bus for the first time.

Love your turtles. Maybe swimming in a batik sea of green and blue.
I remember the feeling that my child was growing up soo fast. But she is now 41, has raised a lovely family and has put herself through LPN school, is working and also going to RN school. I am still so proud of her.
cute little turtles-and your daughter is lovely. I remember having those feelings too-time is going to fast. My daughter is 22 now, with the turbulent teenager was there is now a terrific, interesting adult. I'm finding that I really enjoy these grown up children of ours and seeing them go out on their own, very fulfilling.
I know exactly how you feel today!
Ohhh, the turtles are so cute, I am not an applique person so this is very appealing to me.
My daughter is graduating from college this weekend, sniff sniff. Enjoy
I love turtles - and yours are beautiful! I am not an applique person myself so I have an idea what you are going through.
I don't have kids so I only know the 'daughter part' myself...
Fabulous turtles. Fabulous Daughter!
I know what you mean, mine just qraduated from college two years ago, got married last year and I still think of her as my baby!
