Hospice Quilts Sew In

My one guild had a mini sew in working on blocks for hospice quilts yesterday. We were working on string blocks, a set with yellow center strips and lady colors and another set with blue center strips with guy colors. There were five of us working on the blocks and we got enough blocks done to make a ladies quilt and about 3/4 of the way towards enough blocks for the guy version.

Here are a couple blocks of each version.

In addition Jane donated two finished quilts for the hospice house effort (pictured here) and Regina donated a quilt top, thanks ladies.

I'm sure the Hospice is so pleased to recieve these quilts and the patients enjoy the comfort of them. I am a nurse in Hospice in the UK and know that things that make the place more homely are so important.
